Hanging out with Nick & Katie at Beachy Head last summer. Shot on some lovely film, Kodak Portra 160.
Suffice to say their wedding was one of those crazy special ones for me. It was only the second wedding I photographed and so I can’t even begin to thank them enough for being so open, warm, generous and for trusting me 100%.
I also need to tell you a bit about Tom. Tom is a park ranger and a creative soul. And he has a thing for wood. In fact, he hand made most of the wood elements at their wedding, including the table numbers, the card stand many other details. How amazing is that??? Tom has an Etsy shop where you can purcase some of his beautiful creations, do have a look here: www.etsy.com/uk/shop/LittleWoodenBirds
Do check out their wedding and read the story on Boho Weddings here.
These are the Femmes. Just in case you know you were looking for a 1940s girl band to play at your wedding?
I met the lovely girlies at Chosen Wedding Fair earlier in April and we collaborated on a photo or two. They are amazing. All charm, giggles and hairspray. And you have listen to them perform here: www.thefemmes.co.uk.
I love a bride who decides white isn’t for her. Instead picks a red dress. A red Vivienne Westwood dress. And decides to marry at Hever Castle, home of Anne Boleyn (a little homage perhaps?). I’ve been told there are only two versions of the dress in existence; the red one as worn by my lovely bride on her wedding day, and the purple one as worn by Dita Von Teese on her day and currently residing at the V&A. Suffice to say, this was quite a special one and I absolutely loved photographing this adorable little family.
